Thanks for all the input. Looks like I would do well to rethink things, especially the motor.
I'm going back tomorrow to the local dealer and see what kind of a package he can put together. If the deal looks good I guess I'll just have to go for it.
Took a tour today down thru Ashland, up to and around Howard Praire Lake, Hyatt Lake, then over to Fish Lake and back to Medford. Found what looks to be a very nice campground and boat launch at Klum Landing on Howard Prairie Lake. Its opposite the main lodge and looks like it would be a much "less travelled" area to camp and launch my new boat (when I get it) :dance:
