I just stocked up with ice for the coming trips. A small bag, which used to be 7 lbs for $1.99 two years ago, is now 5 lbs for $2.99. A large bag used to be 20 lbs for $4.99, and is now 16 lbs for $5.99. All prices at the same Safeway near me.

Chefstore (cash & carry) sells 8/5lb bags for $12.60 or 1.99 per 5lb bag the 16lb bag is around $3.59 not to sure exactly as i buy the bale. also dry ice is available under 2 bucks per lb.

I use milk jugs or juice jugs, 1/2 gallon & gallon. My bait freezer is also the ice maker.

I used milk jugs, too. If I needed some right now, I'd just go outside and scoop some snow.

I use frozen jugs for the kill bag and bagged ice cubes for the bait and lunch coolers. I either buy it at Cash & Carry as mentioned above or at McDonalds. I try to keep several bags in my deep freezer; it doesn’t melt as fast if it starts at a lower temperature.

I saw a price at the dollar store $1.25 or $1.35 a bag. I didn't looksee.

I just bought my ice at winco or costco when I lived in town. It's hard to even find ice out here where I am now. I take 500 lbs with me tuna fishing. There's no store out here that even carries 500 lbs. It's pretty darn convenient and I'm sure it's paid for itself. All my neighbors love me too!

I'm kind of out of the way, but make a post every year inviting Ifishers to come get all they want throughout the season.

I was just going to mention that although they don't all sell it. The one by Sportsmans on 82nd and the one up the hill in O City does and I think it's only like $1.89 per five pound bag, or even less.
