went fishing and crabbing last weekend fishing pretty slow didnt see any nets would like to hear report if anyone has one

crabbing was hot 4 pots 22 crabs in 3 hours. nice day on the bay also
we had to get off the river or we would of had our limit in another soak.crabs were full for the most part but the bigs were little soft yet but they were monsters. question though does anyone know why the bigger crabs seem to be not as fiesty as the smaller one. pulled them out of the traps and they just kinda sit there not real active....?
well heading down again this friday hope fishing good bringing dad down fron arizona hoping for a nehalem hog...see ya...

Nice job! The crabbing has really picked up in the last couple of weeks.

Our big ones were feisty too and as you mentioned, not as full but when they measure 7 1/2 - 8" there is still plenty of meat in them and they are easier to pick.

We had the same thing crabbing down in Astoria last friday.....large crab 7-8".....and the largest ones were pretty sluggish as well.....good eats though!......congrats on the crab
