Hey I-fishers:

how 'bout a little help for a bankbound angler hoping to get a crack at some coastal coho. Is there any bay or harbor or jetty where I can cast jigs or bobber/herring setups and have a good change at getting into a coho? :shrug:


ANY advice would be appreciated!

CR North Jetty in two weeks. Herring, bobber, etc. Incoming/slack is best. Check WA regs.

I have always done well casting from the Winchester Bay South jetty using a pink Tee-Spoon w/shrimp oil in the plastic body pieces and a shrimp tail on the hook(use stretchy thread). You'll lose lots of shrimp, but it seems to make a difference. You'll always see lots of people in Half-Moon Bay, but it is better and less crowded on the jetty. If the weather is good the jetty is easy to fish.
