~North Santiam creel encountered 153 anglers. There were 5 summer steelhead caught and kept, 46 spring chinook caught and kept, and 2 chinook released.

~South Santiam creel encountered 360 anglers. There were 42 summer steelhead caught and kept, 1 summer steelhead released, 18 spring chinook were kept, and 12 chinook were released. There were 6 rainbow with mark unknown, 1 cutthroat, 17 trout species unknown, and 7 smolt released.

~Foster Lake creel encountered 98 anglers. There was 141 rainbows kept, 5 rainbows released, 7 smallmouth bass released, 2 smallmouth bass kept, and 1 kokanee kept. Most of the fishing pressure has been boats. Foster's water level is down about 1-2 feet.

~Green Peter-6 anglers with 79 kokanee and 1 rainbow kept. Water level is real low. Whitcomb Creek boat ramp is closed. Thistle Creek boat ramp is still functional.

~McKenzie River creel encountered 159 anglers. There were 6 summer steelhead caught and kept, 1 summer steelhead released, 9 spring chinook caught and kept, and 10 chinook released. In addition, there were 7 hatchery rainbows kept, 21 hatchery trout released, 3 unmarked rainbows released, and 1 cutthroat released. Stomach contents of 576 hatchery trout recovered from releases in the McKenzie River have been examined this season. Most trout had ingested only aquatic insects, however, 9 chinook fry and 6 unidentified salmonids have been found. We will conduct another controlled study to determine gut residence time this week.

~Middle Fork Willamette creel encountered 342 anglers. There were 22 summer steelhead caught and kept, 2 steelhead released, 18 spring chinook kept, 15 chinook released, and 17 cutthroat caught.

~Adult traps on the North Santiam (Stayton Island) captured 145 marked summer steelhead, 6 unmarked summer steelhead, 336 marked spring chinook, and 14 unmarked spring chinook in the traps. To date, there have been 1688 marked summer steelhead, 36 unmarked summers, 680 winter steelhead, 5274 marked spring chinook, and 569 unmarked chinook caught in the traps.

~The Leaburg trap will be put back into operation this week.

~The Foster Dam trap (South Santiam) captured 760 summer steelhead and 813 spring chinook. There were 471 summer steelhead and 577 chinook recycled downstream (to Pleasant Valley Bridge or Waterloo Park). To date, there have been 858 winter steelhead, 3942 summer steelhead, and 4403 chinook captured in the trap.
