I have a 2012 Mercury Verado 300hp supercharged and a 2012 Mercury 9.9. I live in Central Oregon. Any recommendations on shops or mechanics who are honest and competent for service and repair. Both have very low hours. 300 has lost its power steering pump and Mercury has ended three different replacements for this motor. HELP, at 76 years old my arms don't like what has resulted. I will travel for good help. Thanking you in advance

Unless you want to wait 5 weeks, have a half-ass repair, and spend a lot of money, I would avoid Steven's Marine. All those positive reviews you see are guides and "influencers". They don't give two ****s about you and your 2012 motor I'm sorry to say.

That said, you will likely need to find a Mercury dealer with the right software to work on that motor.

I used to use Marc’s Mercs for my 2003 Merc 200. Couple years ago he stated it was to new. I was extremely bummed to hear as he always took good care of me. Motor is in shop with Greg’s Marine out of Garibaldi now, going for the best which I assume will he goood after all the positive reviews.
