[First Light Bite]

I picked up some more hooks today for Steelhead fishing, I bought 2 different sizes and brands one was Owner the other VMC. I was comparing the difference in shaft length and I noticed the VMC hooks displayed magnetic properties. I thought maybe just one was magnetically charged so I tried several and about 90% of the hooks held a magnetic charge. Has anyone ever noticed this before if so what is your feeling on how it affects your number of hook-ups. Wierd I had not noticed it until today. Maybe its just a fluke package?? If they work real well I guess we all need to get big magnetics and charge our hooks.

(its just one more gizmo to buy right?) Any VMC reps out there?

Perhaps the magnetic property you detect stems from either best case, static electrical residual from silding down conveyor chutes, or worst case, a magnet to pick them up. Either way, this is going to likely be a bad thing for hook ups unless it can be neutralized; perhaps some physicist out there can give some advice. My advice is to use Gammies or Owners.
