Watched hawg quest today and loved the net toss. Smooth... It worked, so good move. Something I would do. Made me chuckle.

No help on the river in question.

 

I don't know about the little but I fish the clatskanie, I like to park at the gate and hike in a ways and then fish back up to my rig. They quit stocking hatchery fish long ago, but i actually got two stray steelhead but I used to fish for in january and december if I remember.. not much help eh...

 

If ya gotta boat, troll spinners around Blind Slough. It's a SAFE area open to sports fishermen. I believe the commercial take in that area is about 150 Springers so far. Good luck.

 

While trolling Blind Slough with spinners, you may want to focus your efforts around the mouth of Big Creek. You also might stop into the local Texaco for a Big Creek spinner. They are produced in that area, for that area, and believe me they work.
