I've launched from Maryhill park a few times. It's a short run to the mouth of the Klick...

Did locking through at The Dalles dam slow you down a bit?

Mayer park west has a ramp on the Oregon side.
An unimproved launch in Lyle works well but can be crowded.
Some people launch in Bingen and HR but it's a run up to the Klick.

 

Mayer park in Rowena, good ramp...unless the pool is down. If the waters down, launch from the gravel on the south side of the ramp.

 

+1 on the Mayer Park launch. That is a good ramp.

As stated, it can get shallow, stay within they buoys when going out and you will be fine.

 

At the Mayer park ramp, follow someone out that has been there before.

 

Definitely agree with this. It gets shallow

Bigger boat - Rowena.
