We lost a long time Trask and Wilson fish getting friend earlier this week. While getting sand shrimp. Larry Baxter, I have fished with Larry for better than 30 years and he made many friends among the guides and locals of the Tillamook area, we fished so often that we were thought of as locals long before he moved to Tillamook. He had HOG HEAVEN on the side of his sled as he really loved the spring fishing for our favorite. Larry would share his knowledge of how to rig and fish with many if asked and felt the river belonged to all not just guides and those with the biggest boat. We would put in in the middle of the night and either row or motor so we were at just the area we felt was the best location then have breakfast. We used to remark we were holding sunrise services at the Trask Tabernacle. Then wait for bobber down. Hey budddy I will truly miss you Rosy

Sad news Rosy. Someone called me last week to tell me the sad news. Larry was a great guy I spent many a day fishing around him. The river will not be the same. Thoughts and prayers go out to Larry's friends and family:angel:
