Thanks Mike for a very relaxing day on the water Saturday! We attempted to make bait in the harbor before we headed out, but decided to rely upon our swimbaits. After a smooth ride to about 125.10, with one stop on a jumper without a hookup, we scratched and scratched, hooking up on slow-trolled swimbaits, with one hookup on a purple rapala (actually, a rapala inhalation). We only had one double the whole day.

We ended up with single digits, but they were all good fish, and we cured three nasty cases of tuna[newbie]-itis.

Bernie, the bbq was epic!

shake -n- bake does know how to take one to the dark side, fished with him on friday and had a blast and learned alot. bring on next year!

Ben and I had a blast fishing with all on the Shake-N-Bake Saturday. What a beautiful day to be out on the ocean. Great company, beautiful boat, fun fishing.

Ocean was not nearly as nice - pretty good wind chop with 15 knot winds but we made it out to the bananna and got our halibut, 44",39",26",25" so we had a good day. Lots of sharks and it took us about 5 drifts to find the bite but when we did fishing was good. Almost ran out of bait. The drift wasn't too bad,only needed 32 oz toward the end of the day. No salmon, trolled around for 2 hours partway back to Depoe where we hit them two weeks ago but they are gone now.

Bummer of it all is I had to drive home and return to work! Fun group to fish with. Thanks Dave!
