Anyone know any good books that have patterns, I need a book that is good for learners as I am just starting out. Mainly steelhead but it can have any type of jigs in it.

I'd save my money and take a look at what is available on this site and the internet. Materials can be purchased at First Bite Jigs (site sponsor).

Take a look at the Tech Tips and Keepers. There are 3 tutorials of tying jigs.

I'm not an expert but most Steelhead \ Salmon jigs seem to be variations of the Wooly Bugger Fly. Do a Google for that pattern\recipe and you should have a good start. For more ideas search for 'steelhead jigs'. Looking at companies that sell jigs will give you ideas on colors.

I have the book fishing jigs for salmon and steelhead, its got a few tying tips, and a lot of great fishing tips, but i also bought the dvd Tying steehead jigs by jeff hobson, its a very good dvd and shows several different ways to tie jigs.
