I am getting a new Custom Weld boat in May and am trying to outfit it early. I have heard that an intake rake in needed to prevent swims when stuff gets caught. Problem is that I have not seen anywhere to get one. If anyone has a source let me know. Thanks for the help.

I tried to find one also when I got my NorthRiver. Gave up on it and made one that I can clip on to my net handle. I had to go swimming once, and thats when I realized I had better get something just in case. With the rake I fabricated, I only have to get wet up to my knees.

I had something get stuck in the intake on the way to Kelly Point last week, and was able to dislodge it by slowly accelerating until it started to cavitate, shut the engine off and turn to the right.
