Blubeast, we used it on Sept 21,22,23 coming back in around low slack, which was 2.9' and 2.3' on the 22nd and 23rd. The shallowest reading we had at those tide levels was a comfortable 3.5' of depth.
I actually thought it was easier to get out than years past, particularly at that spot just before you reach the Garibaldi channel, where the bottom use to hump-up a bit. That seemed to be gone and I'd actually wondered if a little dredging was done.
Yes, it's still free. We make it a point to always buy bait, ice or something there in appreciation of the free use of their ramp, cleaning station, restrooms, etc.
