Jerry Douglas on the Dobro? Emmett Franz has some real good Dobro sounds out there.

I think one of the reasons I've always loved Alan Jackson's music is his use of the steel guitar.

I had a dog and his name was king was a close second on that album. IMO.

 

Buddy Emmons was a master of the more traditional pedal steel, recording here with John Sebastian.

Can't beat a steel guitar. I especially like traditional pedal steel (Lloyd Green, Ralph Mooney, Buddy Emmons, etc.)! The sadder, the better IMO

Jerry Douglas is top notch dobro player...probably the best! Gaven Largent is a fantastic dobro player as well!!
