Just curious. I fished out of a boat before and thought it was ok but definately prefer a more pro-active approach to angling. I really want to learn how to catch steelies and salmon in the Clackamas. I am looking to buy a drift boat sooner or later. So, I feel that a boat definitely betters your chances.
