Thanks to the information I gathered from my ifish friends I learned how to make a killer brine for herring for springers. I even managed to bonk a few. Now with the fall fish in the ocean and soon in the bays, is it recommended i brine my bait and if so is there any changes to the recipe. For springers I used sea salt, anise oil, mrs stewarts bluing, and blue or green food color.

You got the idea. It may not hurt to add a little more salt to the solution.
