Has anyone looked at the Autoboat Smart Head for trolling motors?

I've seen this thing floating around. The idea is it adds expensive functionality to your cheap electric trolling motor. It just replaces the existing head and tiller handle to add internal GPS and remote steering.

I would love to add a bow mount system for steering and use my T8 for thrust. However, it looks like this thing isn't compatible with bow mount motors because those typically have a foot pedal for control. They make bow mounts for transom mounted trolling motors so I guess you could bow mount a cheap kicker mount MK C2 or something.

I haven't actually priced a Minn Kota or comparable setup but I'm guessing it's a lot more.

Edit: to whatever moderator just edited my post to break the link, good job..... I wasn't trying to advertise a non forum sponsor. I just wanted people to be able to see what I was talking about.

Nah. Save your pennies for a Minn Kota Terrova.

You need a compass for steering correction. I don't see that included. Minn Kota provides.
Yeah, I moved on already. I still think it is a pretty cool invention. The biggest downside is the price has creeped up so much that it is bordering on prebuilt minn kota territory all said and done (batteries, bow mounting adapter, etc). If this thing was $400 or under it would be a no brainer for anyone with a smaller boat if they already had a 12v electric trolling motor.
