A friend fish GP the other day with his kids and caught 16 or so in a half a day. Sounds like it is starting to get better. Biggest fish was 11 inches. As GBS said, you will find bigger fish at Crescent, and at Odell.
About every thing you will need to know about fishing Green Peter will be found on The Kokanee Page. This site is not helpful for current reports any more, but it still has lots of good information.
The stort answer to your question is yes, the same jig/troll tactics will work at Green Peter. Long liners have good luck using beer can flashers and the downrigger people have done well with a wedding ring behind a watermelon dodger. The most effective wedding ring is a homemade one incorporating real silver blades. White is also a good color for things like needle fish or kokanee kings. At times a rainbow super duper has been hot.
I was at GP on 5/24, in 5 hours we had at least 40 takedowns (3 rods), 30 hook ups +/- and 5 fish in the boat :depressed: The 3 year old was having a tough time getting them to the boat
biggest fish was about 8 inches :depressed:
We found most of the fish on the South side of the lake along the points 1/3 of the way from the dam to the island. Trolling about 20 feet deep with wedding rings and worm. The chop around the island was rough and hard to fish with the 25 mph wind. When we first got there lots of boats were working the island, but the wind got bad soon after we got there and couldnt fish it. Good luck
