My brother passed away last night after a 3 year battle with leukemia. He was 16 years older than I and I have memories of him taking me fishing from about age 5 on.
He was an avid outdoorsman in Napa, CA. A former president of the California Outdoor Writers Assoc and did a regular outdoor column in the Napa Register. His oldest son Guy held the Oregon state brown trout record from Paulina Lake for about 10 years.
This pic was from last December to a secret hole in the Napa River. He's the one on the right. (that would be me on the left holding a 29.5 pounder that we both fought)
He leaves behind wife Andi and 4 kids Guy, Gavin, Greg and Carrie.
I'm planning on doing my own private service for him out on Paulina Lake this Monday.
George we all love you and will never forget you.
