I have always gone out to the ocean across the columbia bar in my boat. I have been across the bar at tillamook in friends boat. I am wondering if with the current forecast if one area is/could be calmer than another. Would like to go out of Ilwaco because that is what I know but have cousins in town from Montana that want to fish.

Thanks,
jb

The forecast provided by the National Weather Service:
COASTAL WATERS FROM CAPE SHOALWATER WA TO CASCADE HEAD OR OUT
20 NM-
WATERS FROM CAPE SHOALWATER WA TO CASCADE HEAD OR FROM 20 TO
60 NM-

Shoalwater Wa is the northern side of the mouth of Willipa Bay
and Cascade Head is between Neskowin and Lincoln City.
So basically that's the forecast for the whole southern wa/northern or
coast.
