[No Wishin Just Fishin]

A fishing legend, and one of my mentors, Dan Marston passed away a week ago. I went to His life celebration on Friday. Dan was a legend, especially in the fly fishing group. His picture was on the front of Hunting and Fishing news a couple of times with 20lb steelhead. His total for 20 lb steelhead was 14 over the years, which is alot for one man. I fished with Him on the Toutle, Kalama, Lewis, Klickitat, Wilson, NFNehalem, Siletz, Alsea, Deschutes, and tucca and have great memories in either my driftboat, or His raft. Dan was only 69 which is much too soon!! He tied over 30,000 flies in His life and I would't be surprised if He caught a fish on every one. I know He is on that big river landing fish after fish. I will miss Him!!

Dan was a great guy and was always willing to help a beginner out.

I only fished with dan one time with no wishing just fishing, but found the respect a fisherman only feels for the best.
