My grandfather was 78 when I was born ... I never really knew him except through his photographs and cameras, many of which are now mine. He was an accomplished photographer, both as an amateur and later as a commercial advertising photographer. Among his treasures is a small photo album of a canoe trip he took with the woman that became my grandmother in 1917. One picture in that album has intrigued me for years. All I know is it's in the middle of his album after visiting the Hudson's Bay outpost on Hudson's Bay ... it was the summer of 1917 and the picture is labelled "Timigami". I can't tell what type of fish it is, but it looks salmonid. It looks like my grandmother might be holding a fly rod. The clothing? ... doesn't look like they were equipped by Eddie Bauer, does it?

So ... anyone else have any meaningful, old fishing pictures?

I like this picture taken near Baker Park on the Rogue River in Grants Pass. This picture was originally posted on Ifish by GrantsPastor several months ago.
