Hi All,

I am going Sturgeon fishing for first time tomorrow morning  What I want to know is: There any salmon fishing still going on there? If so, how do you fish for them (I have never fished Columbia, or Willamette for that matter, for salmon). I ask as I was assigned the duty of finding this information out by the boat captain in case the Sturgeon fishing is really slow. Afraid I have been derelict in my duties while I chased deer around to no avail.

Any and all info greatly appreciated!

Stay with the sturgeon. There will be no lack of bites or action. Find 65 to 70 ft of water and anchor with 2 to 250 ft of rope, sea anchors and have a blast. Take smelt, sand shrimp and sturgeon feast.

Hi All,

Thank you for the info! We caught 12 shakers, no keepers. Had a big one on that took line like crazy (reel was screaming!) then wrapped the line around something down there and broke off. At least we had some action
