My buddy "Gordy Gordon" on ifish has one of these.
We've tested it against my humminbird Matrix 27 and the depth readings are right on....the "fish detection" well, I don't believe it for a second! It was showing fish all over the place, but the matrix only marked one.

Need to find a way to turn the GAIN down.

I'm new to these fish finders. Does Gain control something that must be preset or can the unit be taken apart and adjusted somehow? I notice gain control is only available on the more expensive fish finders.
