[Class VI]

I'm excited to try out my new electric trolling motor. Besides Hosmer, what are some good electric-only lakes in Western Oregon/Cascades?

I don't know any off the top of my head, but you can look fairly quickly thru this site to find electric motor only water.

Olalla Lake about 12 miles East of Newport.

Trillium Lake, near Government Camp.

Silverton Res. Just south of Silverton. It’s a smaller lake 60 acres but it has plenty of stockers. Its a pretty lake but can get semi crowded on weekends. Good Luck

Looking at the web site, Oregon Marine Board Regs ,provided a few post earlier ,it states that trillium lake is a no motor lake . I'd check it out for myself as I was told a few years back that no motors were allowed by the camp host. Better safe than sorry. Ray

Fishfinder.....Trillium lake is a no motor lake, that includes electric...unless the laws have changed from last year.

If you have a Washington license, Goose Lake is a good one. Near the town of Trout Lake, it is a scenic lake stocked with searun cutthroat and nice sized brown trout.
