Well I finally after almost half a century made it to Diamond lake! The fishing has slowed down quite a bit! We managed 6 nice rainbows in about 5hrs of fishing (trolling spoons, flatfish and still fishing) the second day! The first day, we got there about noon and it was just to windy. The fish for stockers were 11 to 13," no monsters but the meat was almost red! And they ate great! The highlight of that trip was collecting firewood and almost getting ran over by a small herd of elk we had jumped! Thursday made the move to miller and wish I hadn't, Did my usuall and everything else and got one 10" rainbow on a 7" brokeback rapala, nothing friday, zip, zero zilch! Nobody I talked to was doing anygood. Except the teenager in the float tube camped next to us, who caught a real nice bat, right at dusk!:pp

We were at Diamond over the weekend. Managed only three fish for about 5 hrs of fishing. Pretty slow and no big ones to be had. Very windy Saturday afternoon. Fish and Game official indicated that fishing had slowed to a crawl for most people. We had a great time at the lodge. My first time there and we already booked for next year. Looking forward to giving it another shot. Made a trip with the kids to Crater Lake on Saturday. We, in Oregon, are so blessed to have places like this to visit. Absolutely breathtaking views from the crater rim.
Yea the lodge looked pretty nice! I wanted to go to crater, but we didn't make it!
