I was just curious if anyone had been catching the kings up at sherrar falls. We =fished there this spring and knocked them dead and odfw stated earlier that they were supposed to get more fall runs than springers. Just curious if anyone has any reports or info they could send my way. Thanks!

With so many chinook close to Portland most of the people on here probable haven't driven the extra distance to fish for them there.

I know that they are sometimes caught while steelhead fishing on the lower Deschutes using spinners and plugs.

my neighbor caught a 30lber last week, nice bright fish. said he was just below the ladder hole also said no one else was around.

I fish over here alot, and as the local paper said that the white river is pumping out crud the river is so off color that at this time I havent made it the 100 mile trip my self, I did here that steelhead were being taken at beaver tail, if this helps.
As for the nooks, I think if the freezing level comes down and the mountain get some snow or lower rain and the white river clears up than I well be spending some weekends over there for the fall run.
Last year I fishen at the browns hole and I saw 4 to 5 fish hook ups, and on the 24 of October I took out a 44 pounder.
I am just wateing for the condutions to clear up than it time for some fun.
Where were you fishing this spring, as I was there every weekend for as my wife somethimes says Its my secound home.
We more than likly stood side by side at some time. River-Rat.

River Rat
I fished at the ladder hole and the cave hole a couple times but we usually went down on the dirt road a ways to get away from the huge crowds. It was quite the experience and contrary to many springer rivers many of the locals were VERY nice. I was at the mouth on tuesday and the river looked good so Im not sure if you can tell if it would be blown up up top. Do the fish bite as good int eh fall as the spring? Thanks for the info guys!!
