I'm really bummed. Tried to fish lower river yesterday but the river was VERY silty and cloudy white - only 6 inches of visibility at best. Took a boat ride with our guide - spotted some sheep and deer - then drove home.

Can anyone tell me what happed up river to the river - maybe a landslide? We were all surprised since the weather was so cold and clear. This ususally only happens when it warms up and the snow melts into the river?

Hawg I saw the same thing yeaterday coming home from elk hunting. I couldn't beleave how it looked. Looked like buttrer milk. The sandy was almost as bad, only looked like mud. Must have been a good bit of rain up on the mountain.

The White River is blowen out, it dumps into the Deschutes just above Shears Bridge, makes it hard to fish and the claraty of the water may only be 1 foot or so.
Eather the glasers on M.T.Hood are melting, but you would think with all the cold temps we are haven it would be gin clear.
Here in Bend as I write it's only 20 degrees out side.

HAY WERE HAVEN A HEAT WAVE.
