...piggyback when I was four years old, across the spots on the summertime Necanicum River that were too deep for me to wade. We picked nitecrawlers from Mom's flower beds for the next mornings fishing. We used Mom's frozen scampi 'cuz we didnt have crawdad tails to catch Nestucca summer steelies. You caught a coho on Juicy Fruit gum one of the times we fished your boat out of Newport. We always talked about great fishing waters and now you have found them. Today, after 90 years of fishing, you passed the mantle to me. Thank you, Daddy. I will always love you.
