Sounds like fish are being caught today!

They sure look close to garabaldi. I need them to get a little closer.

 

Bud, I was looking this morning at the 45 34 by 124 45 ish out of LI as a drop in point. Maybr NW from there

 

Was thinking the same thing. The water inside of there is warm enough also just not blue. I’m thinking 36 miles max to find fish. Maybe get into them more like 30.

 

There are quite a few boats fishing out of Ilwaco today. But haven't heard of anyone fishing out of LI. Would love to hear some reports out of Garibaldi.

 

I'd like to hear the Ilwaco reports. Hoping to run tomorrow

 

I’m sure we’re going to get a G report before tomorrow.

 

I am planning on running out of G tomorrow unless there is a bad report from today

I'm looking at Thursday but don't know about LI or Newport. Hope to get reports from today and better chloro shot tomorrow. Need to round up a crew.

Wind and swell look good but that morning minus tide will be interesting.

 

I’ve never fished out of LI. Thought about running tuna out of there later this week because right now the water looks better to the north, but that negative is terrible timing for a first light launch. Probably just do Newport and be looking at the bar at first light. Maybe Depoe.

Garibaldi?

 

Ran out of Ilwaco with just my wife and I. Straight off the corner south corner of the AC we got the tuna we were after (8 since I have to clean them myself). Hooked one then did circles and kept getting fish. When we were done there were still a lot of tuna there. Only other boat by us was a jet ski. 45~50w line?

Got coho limits on the way back in.

 

 

Out at 57/52 and its pretty slow. Only have two in the box

 

Wait for the afternoon bite to kick in.

 

Thanks Don. We’re at the corners now and I’m marking lots of fish down at 80 feet. They just are not coming up.

They came up after circling them. We have 7 in the box now. But man, its a slow day of trolling for July fish…

Fresh shots. This seems too good to be true. Did it push in this far in 2 days? Curious to hear from guys today.

 

Any reports out of garabaldi or depoe? I know the corners are producing but how close are they? I’m tentatively looking at a Sunday tuna run in my sled
