I'm going to be down there this weekend and was thinking of doing some crabbing if the salmon fishing is slow. Anybody having any luck with the crabs? Any recommended baits?

I was there last weekend. We harvested three-dozen Dungeness using chicken, also some large clawed red-rock crabs. In the jaws at slack was the most productive for us. Lots of sea lions - watch your traps if your using feesh!

Good Luck

If the ocean is calm go about 250yds south of the south jetty and drop them even with the end of the jetty. Otherwise half way between the jaws and the bridge is a good place along the north jetty. But if that doesnt produce good numbers go all the way up to red river marker 14. Chicken and albacore are the best bait for the bay. Good luck......The King
