I've ran into Bass anglers who have related stories of usually losing their gear to a Springer using such light line and such and on a side note I did release a good 8lb Large mouth one day just off Oaks park. A hen with a massive belly full of eggs guess my herring just got too close to her nest as she pounded the holy crap outta that bait.

That’s awesome, have pics of the fish? I hear if people catching coho in the Willy quite often fishing for bass but never hear if nooks caught. Hear about them being caught while Shad fishing all the time.

Wonder if the guy was upset thinking he had a record size bass only to realize it’s a dumb salmon 😂. I know I get upset when I hook into a sturgeon while salmon fishing.
