My understanding is they are headed to the CR. As far as I know there are no coho hatcheries in/on Tillamook Bay tributaries.

What what? The Trask hatchery gets Coho. Tillamook Anglers use them for the Foodbank and egg sales after collecting eggs.

 

Whoops, I guess I got/believed bad info... this was one of those times. I was trying to recall who told me that. Back in 82 when I was stationed there we fished for Chinook but not coho, figured it was true. Obviously not so. ANYWAY thanks for the correction, I appreciate all the info given here.

 

There's been Coho in the Trask for many years. Hardly a secret by any means. They aren't in there in the numbers they used to be for sure. But what is?🤷‍♂️

Good news is they are really fat this year!

Agreed, 2024 was a good season.

I think 2025 might be better for quality fish.
