I'm itching to start twitchin! Can this turn back into a fun whoo hoo coho are coming thread again?
Twitching is perfect for slow, deep water. If I'm fishing faster, shallower water, I might toss spinners or eggs under a float. But I would twitch jigs exclusively in the estuary, and probably never use a spinner there.I'm itching to start twitchin!
Got my program dialed last season after minimal previous success. I thought twitching was kind of a myth and didn't have enough confidence in the method to give it a fair shot. Until I caught one, then another and ending up catching 12 that morning. New ballgame.
It's my favorite way to catch coho now. The feeling of solidly setting into a fish, that picked it up on the fall, is incredibly addictive. If they come in as predicted it's going to be a target rich environment.
I know guys have success throwing spinners in the estuary. Does anyone twitch those same spots?
