What do the people here do to help their chances on springers when the water is murky? Bigger herring, lots of stink, shorter leaders, dark spinners/kwickies/flashers? How about depth - on the bottom in shallow water or closer to the surface in standard (15'-20') water?

I pretty much stick to the bottom. Use lots of stink and flat colors. Not dark colors per se, but they don't hurt. Flat seems to show up better in murky water compared to metallics or glossy sheens. Just my observations.
