Me and the family jumped in the truck and took a drive down to the river to get some shots of the snow. The Clackamas color was a little off but fishable and Eagle Cr was pretty low and clear but fishable.

Don't these make you steelhead crazzy?

But, I wouldn't think there's much going on for steelhead except maybe a few late summer runs.

I think it's closed for coho.

I've mostly just fished for steelhead in Jan. and Feb. in both rivers. Do you think there may be some decent opportunities in December or should I stick to the coastal streams? Would like to start targeting these guys ASAP without an hour and a half drive to get there.

How come that never happens at Christmas time?

You didn't miss anything up here on the Cow for the lates.
It was very dissapointing especially after last years record Cow coho run.

If you're getting the steel fever maybe you can come up after these rivers clear.
We've seen our share of early ones and it might be worth while once they clear.
I heard of some limits at Blue Creek today.
