We are actually getting some semi decent rains. There should be a good fresh flush of mushrooms for the blacktail opener. I know some have already found a few, but this weekend oughts to be really good...

I have a spot in the coast range for them, hard as heck to get to, but loaded with them when you get there. Having said that, I quit going a few years ago because they started making me sick, like vomit till your dead sick. My wife likes them, so now I just buy some off of market place, enough to make her happy.

They are popping in the Coast Range at summit level 1500+. Friend picked a pile of them Tuesday. Nice clean Chanterelles. šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

I will be out with my daughter and wife tomorrow am in the coast range. I went shooting 2 weeks ago up there and then walked one of my fav areas nearby and found about 3lbs in 20min. They were a tad smaller BUT fresh. Should be popping good this weekend after the rain.

Chanterelles have been up and down the coast for well over a month in the fog belt. I've found a few flushes right at sea level inside the shore pines and spruce. Now they are popping really strong between 1200' - 2000' across the coast range, but are still just starting on the east side of the hill. If you haven't checked your spots, it's time!

The chanterelles were beyond plentiful this morning. We filled 2 bags in under an hour before my 3yr old started melting down lol. What a great fungi year so far.

That's a cute little banana there! Looks like your chantarelle patch is nice and clear, easy to see them when they are growing.

Some of those other mushrooms you folks are posting would leave me a little dubious to even think about putting it in my mouth, just looks like poison growing on the side of a tree to me.

My boy and I are headed out tonight and will be up in the woods for the opener. He is excited, it is his first year hunting under the mentor program and he is ready to rock. We have been picking chanterelles from the coast range to the cascade for about a month now and doing well. Picked a nice little flush Sunday last week and will be looking tomorrow while we hunt.

Boletes are popping on the coast too. They aren't lasting very long with the warmer weather, but I managed to find a few that weren't too buggy. Chanties are going very strong, I picked all I felt like cleaning for a Sunday night.
