Has any body fished the lakes off of Century Dr.? Particularly Big Lava Lake. I fished it a bit later than this last year and spanked the big rainbows. Any luck up around there yet :cheers: ?

My favorite is Crane Prarie in late October before the closure. Its coooold in the mornings so bring the heater! Very few boats on the water this time of year. I fish the Quinn River channel and always have great success this time of year. The fish are real active fattening up for winter. I believe its the best time of year to land that "trophy" trout of a life time. Bugs if you can get them and rainbow powerbait is the way to go.

I fished Big Lava Friday. We had no luck fishing power bait, but saw one boat doing good fishing something off the bottom. We finally got into fish midday by trolling deep a worm 3 feet behind a set of baby cowbells. I fished this on my downrigger at 20 feet.
