Sorry Noob!

Didn't see your post till right now (3:51am).

I am very tired and got volunteered to help the owner of Wing Wa's at 11:00pm last night. Have to get ready for the morning fishing trip with an ifisher.

I got to get a cell phone again.

Start at Boiler Bay State park and I have to go for now.

If you see other fishermen around, ask them.

Look at the map in the 76 station in the tackle area if you go there.

Got to go for now and I guess it's past time for me to finish my surf fishing book I started 15 years ago.

"Dan's the man that can, tell you, till you can". I sure would like to offer him a ride for a 1/2 day or so just to see where to start for them rocky fishes.

Union 76 station, map and what do we use for bait once we get to boiler bay? Jigs or cut herring? I would like to catch a few bottom fish and silvers in the same day. That would be great.

thanks for being there for us Dan. We valley folks need you and all your knowledge. Hope you finished that book.

Hey snapshot you have tyo offer him a ride. We went out with him today and got the education of a lifetime for the bottom fish. We started with salmon and got three then he headed us to a regular spot of his and had us use colors that I've never used, and two poles were going on the first cast. Then we moved to a couple other spots and just kept catching fish. 6 keeper lings 25+or- black bass and the three salmon. Would of paid $$ for the info learned today.
Thanks Chris. It was a real pleasure fishing with you and Steve. Like to do it again sometime.

Next time I'll get more sleep and hopefully we all do. Maybe you and Steve can camp at Beverly Beach campground sometime and I can show you a few other local spots.

Really enjoyed fishing with you guys and maybe sometime today I'll edit the pic's and post here or on Salty Dogs.

Dan
Oh and you forgot to include your cabezon, the tastiest one of them all!

Dan
Sir Fishalot,
We were both in boats. Dan posted a couple of pictures on the Salty Dogs Board. I think it was the Depoe Bay update thread. Forgive me if I look a little green. I'll never get used to that ocean (but it won't stop me from going).Dan really gave us a lesson on the bottomfish, and an even better one on fileting them. Thanks again Dan.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial, helvetica">Hey Martin85, were you and Dan fishing from a boat or from the rocks?

If you were fishing from the rocks could you enlighten me to the technique that you guys were catching the salmon on. Oh, and where are your pics!? I would love to see a glimpse of your catch.
