Now hear this, I repeat, now hear this.
Of course noproblemo, that is because cruise ships and US warships only have a 100 yard buffer zone.

LNG tanker exclusion zone is as follows:

2 miles ahead
1 mile aft
500 yards both sides
30 ft above.

I have respect for Fishbulb, he at least has facts to share, which would appear he's trying to educate.
Stirring the pot, just for the sake of stirring, I just don't get it.

Therein lies the problem with the LNG ships, freespool. What'll that do to B10 when these ships come through? Shut it down, that's what.

I recall something you Freespool told me a while back. "I (Freespool) will do everything in my power to fan the flames of angler dicontent". This "mandate" of yours is only about stirring the pot, I just dont get it:shrug:

You say there is a 100 yard "buffer" around military vessels when in fact the "buffer" is 500 yards. Just trying to educate.

BTW, the river has been great the last two days. Minimal effort 3 weeks into buoy 10. We could have LNG tankers passing every 15 minutes and hardly a sportfisher would be disrupted. I'm sure the effort will pick up on wednesday.

Question for the "expert"

I can believe the 2 miles ahead, gigantic ships can't slow down or stop quickly.

I can believe the 1 mile aft. Looks like a good number

I find it hard to believe 500 yards on both sides. An RPG is "accurate enough" at that range on a target that size

30 ft (assuming feet) above? Huh? That means that any lunatic with an ultralite, small helo, Cessna or 747 could get within major BOOM range with impunity. I don't buy that one.

Can somebody post a link to this info

Yes, I was wondering about the 30ft above as well. I too would like to see the source of this information - 30 feet above sounds silly.

Just got off the lower river again - the wind has picked up a bit and with the ebb its getting a little sloppy. Only saw one sportfisher making the effort on this fine sunday afternoon three weeks into buoy 10.

I will be out before first light tommorrow to give it another try.
