Dear Customers and Suppliers
The Batson Family and Employees of Batson Enterprises, Inc. sadly announce the passing of Bob Batson. Bob died suddenly on Sunday May 11, 2003 of a heart attack. Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2003, 2 p.m. at the Vineyard Church, 3415 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, WA 98382.

As most of you well know, Bob had a strong walk with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His fervent wish was that all who he did business with would also develop a relationship with his Savior. Bob didn't believe in hiding God's presence in his life. He shared with so many of his customers and vendors what God had done in his life.

Each one of us feels the loss of his presence both on a personal basis and for his leadership of our business, Batson Enterprises, Inc. In the near future we intend to share with the rod-building family our view of Bob's contributions to this industry and share with you the plans he put in place to turn over control of the operation to his family, when he intended to retire.

In the meantime, rest assured that the "BOB BATSON" way of doing things is alive and well at Batson Enterprises, Inc. We intend to continue to provide the finest rod blanks and components for our customers at a fair price with outstanding service and a large inventory. We will continue to work with our long time suppliers to obtain the highest quality components and raw materials at a fair price. We will continue to treat every customer and supplier with the respect they deserve and with "Honesty and God's way of doing things" that Bob is known for in the industry.

To our competitors, we say, "NOTHING HAS CHANGED." We will continue to be a leader in this industry with our experienced and expert staff. We remain today more committed than ever to "Bob Batson's Way of doing business." Please feel free to call any of the following if you have questions or concerns caused by Bob's passing.

Bill Batson
Karry Batson
Norine Schenfeld
Don Mook

Bob's primary belief was that God supported his efforts to begin this business, and your continuing support is tangible proof. God's blessings have helped Batson Enterprises, Inc. become what we are today. We, the family and employees, still feel that God will continue to support us. We look forward to a continued relationship that benefits both you as a customer/supplier and Batson Enterprises, Inc.

Sincerely,

The Batson Family

Bob posted on ifish and several other boards under the moniker "Paniolo". I asked what Paniolo meant since it was a unique moniker.

Paniolo is Hawaiian for Cowboy.

My condolences to his family.

I never met Bob but did talk to him last year for the Royal Family Kids fishing tournament. He was so giving and wanted to help and his heart for God and kids really was evident throughout our conversation. I am sorry about his passing but he has eternal life in Jesus Christ and may his legacy live on!

According to John 3:16:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should NOT perish, but HAVE everlasting life".

Bob was one of the whosoever's in this verse. Bob's wish is that none will be in the "whosoever believeth not" group. Bob is now one of the whosoever's that now HAVE everlasting life. Please pass on Bob's legacy and accept Jesus as your Saviour too! When you get to heaven, go up to Bob, and thank him for sharing God's good news to you to prevent you from going where the "whosoever not's" go.

Bob truly cared for people by caring for your eternal souls. That's who Bob was.

I'll see you in heaven one day, Bob.

Will you see Bob in heaven one day too? Remember, heaven is the free gift from God. You just have to receive it or reject it. The choice is ours. Don't make the wrong choice. Don't wait to choose until it's too late. You could die suddenly, just like Bob, then it's too late. Accept eternal life now!

Simply pray and tell Jesus you believe in him and want eternal life with him, just like this verse says. Accept Jesus. It's that simple!
