Re: BOAT DOWN IN ASTORIA (HEADLINER)

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Cooper family.

I grew up doing many of the same activities as Coop(we shared many Little League coaches and Cub Scout leaders), and remember Mr.Harold Cooper very well.I've lost touch with Coop since graduating high school, but it's funny how memories of 20+ years ago become so vivid when tragedy strikes someone you know. It seems like just yesterday we were teammates playing ball, with our parents crowding the fences to see the games and root us on.

We hope that Coop recovers quickly, and is able to begin the healing process of this tragic day very soon.

I have linked "Freetofish" on the last cast area, on the front page. May this be his online memorial from his fellow ifishers, here.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts.

Well I do really appreciate everybody keeping this thread the way it is.I know Coop is very thankfull for all your prayers...He not only is my boss but a very close friend to me and his father was a very special person to me also..And will never be forgotten in my heart...

It was a very traggic thing what happened and I'm sure he thank's everybody for not speculating what happened.Bouy 10 is and alway's will be a dangerous place and everybody should never take what we have for advantage. You never think something like this could hit so close to home till it does.It definitly opened a whole new light for me.

Please everybody be safe out there..Thing's can change at anytime.....

Thank's again for all your prayers...... Mike

Our hearts are heavy with sorrowness, this is never easy. Also brings to light how our circumstances can change in an instant, don't forget to tell your family how much you love them everyday.

Blessings,

I was out with my Father today.

It is hard to imagine how fast these things occur.

Twig #1 and Twig #2 and I just went out to the truck and I've added a strip of black electrical tape over my iFish sticker - it will stay there for a week. I didn't know either of them, but this board is like family and we all share the loss - gods speed! :angel1:

Stick, that's a very nice gesture. I've added a black stripe to my stickers, too.

Black stripe added here, too.

What a great gesture. I hope not to repeat this tradition anytime soon, however. :depressed:
