this may have been posted as I have been in the woods for the past two weeks but came across this story in my local paper and thought I would share.

Ouch, I'm sure that hurt a bit. Lucky for him and glad it wasn't someone less able to fend it off.
But as stated these cases are rare. But I'd have give it a mouthful of 45 to chew on.

More "Oh don't kill it" mentality. Like there's a shortage of bears or something.....quite the contrary.
How are game agencies supposed to manage populations when you take away harvest tools like hounds & baiting???
They voted, they have to live with the outcome.
