Thanks for the quick responses I've received so far on this important matter.

I'm sorry if I've made certain folks upset about this link.

I accidently OVER PURCHASED this product and was trying to save ifish people some money.

I don't do this very often.

In fact I never do it intentionally to push anyones buttons.

Jenny has told me I have her permission to advertise on this board since I'm a paid sponser.

I figured since she told me that, I could advertise any where.

Am I wrong? If so I'll leave.

Thanks,

May I suggest next time anyone has a question about this board go to Jenny in a private message.

To broadcast your concerns in a VERY public manner causes much imbarrassment.

Thank you,
Marie Will

Actually Luhr Jensen doesn't manufacture bead chain swivels but sticks there name on them. They are manufactured in New York. If you would like the direct source to get them much cheaper Marie, email me.

The beads look exactly the same. 8.50 is kinda steep?

These bead chains are rated 125 lb test.

Please parton my ignorance: When & how would you use these? I am still learning the fishing lines out in the PNW and have never seen these before. Are they good only for a curtain type of fish/fishing technique?

PDXKevin,

I first learned about them on this board and after trying them, never looked back.

Marie, put me down for a box of the 6's. I'll call you and give you my address. Thanks for thinking about us.

PDX Kevin...bead chains can be used for several things, the most common are for trolling with herring or spinners. The advantage of a bead chain swivel over a standard swivel is that if you get a little grass or "salad" on your standard swivel it will pretty much stop working. The result is a rather nasty tangled mess in your leader. (Not to mention this happens under water where you can't see it and, if not checked, you can think your fishing when your not. With the bead chain, they will continue to work even with a certain amount a "salad" on them. Some people run them off their main line others set them up in the middle of their leader. Either way they serve the same purpose.

Hope that helps.

Marie,
What I was wondering is how the #4 or #6 relate to lb test rating. For example they have a 35lb rated bead chain. I'm not familliar with the # rating your using.
