Background Checks During the Shutdown

Just checking if anyone has any experience today with background checks and if it's delayed or otherwise?

I have a P2P transfer scheduled and just wanted to know if we need to expect delays. Checking a few other online references and it sounds like it's considered essential, but there might be other ancillary systems that impact it.

True enough. But most of what they do is check the federal system.

Yesterday I saw a couple transactions that went through with zero issues. The que was in the 70s which is a bit higher than what he has been recently.

OSP does the check so doubt they affected unless they need to dig in to you.

No impact at all. I had one done Friday night. I started at the end of the line, something like 68th out of 69 people in the queue. It took about an hour and 15 minutes to go through.
