Does anyone use a jig and float on the big D?, Why or why not. I know most of the usual tactics over there but have never heard about jigs and if there are any hook restrictions right now.

Two years ago I took a trip to the "D" and hooked a few steelhead and a couple redside trout on a green-butt skunk pattern. Something like this:

I fished on the D a couple weeks ago and caught several "A" run summers on jigs. They do work well!

Yep, work good. I usually fish other methods though just to be able to cover more water. The D is big and fish hold in a lot of undefined water. That being said if I am fishing a known bucket a bobber & jig would be one of my top picks. I like to catch fish and will use whatever I think will work, anything from chugging a skater to dredging the bottom with hardware! :cheers:
