Stopped by Paradise Cove on Sat. and talked to several. All stating very slow yet. There had been a surge of fish that went through after the short rainfall last week but it slowed again. They stated that the fish that were being caught were up near the Jetty area. Lots of crabs though. I wonder if the fish that went up might be up near the end of tidewater and an egg show. Good luck.
We fished from West of the State park ramp to above the island at Nehalem 2 days. Never saw a net fly. We marked a lot of fish but did not see the usual bait fish or sea lions. There were two fish that we saw at the cleaning station Sat.
The fish checker had counted 12 fish by late Sat. 6 from guide boats. She said the fish being caught were either at the jaws or up above the barn hole on bobbers.
Gazillion crab pots around the area and we were fortunate enough to get 17 nice ones mostly between the park boat ramp and Brighton. Tried further up near Fishers Point Sunday and only got 3 males out of six traps which were full of females.
