I am putting a aluminum diamond tread flooring in my boat what thickness should i go with is 1/8th to much

It depends on how far apart your supports are. We just bought an Alumaweld, and 1/4 would make me feel safe from dents and such. But the price made me curl up in a ball and cry. :shocked:

So we are gonna stick the thin stuff over the top of plywood. I know there is still wood under there, but for a grand difference, I can live with a little wood.

The weight difference is minimal( hey the boat weighs probably 3K or so. What difference is a hundred fifty pounds spread out over the whole floor space? In my world that is about one dog.

Have fun with the sunglasses til it gets dulled up a bit. :cool:
