Nice day on the bay. Put in late, about 8:30... Freezing out!
Love my exotherms!

Anyhow, did a half pass, turned back up and BINGO!

Only prob, couldn't hold the darn thing up today!

Whewie! There we go! It's HEAVY!

Anyhow, Bill was trying to help me rerig, and I said, "STOP IT! Get your rig out there and fish. I'll clean up, bleed the fish, wash the net, and tag the fish.... yada yada..." He said OK.

Just as I finished, and was tagging my fish, his rod went off! COOL!

So, an hour before the tide change, those herring that are in between purple and black, (big ones!) four ounce weights down to the bottom, and one reel up. I find it's really important to follow the bottom with your herring. Try to get a nice slow roll on that bait!

Good luck to you, and go get um! They are mint bright and beautiful!

It's not over till the fat hen goes bronze!

Very nice fish!
I am new to fishing that area. Where would you recommend to launch and fish to get me one of those? Heading up Friday. Thinking about Wilson tidewater. Good idea?

We launched at Old Mill, and went up the bay to the Ghost Hole. You'll see the place, while going North from Tillamook on hiway 101.
You'll know it by the 100's of boats there!
Actually, it slows down this week. There was only about 25 today.
We saw... one other fish caught, I think. Then, one hooked and lost.
